Janaina Costa graduated from the School of Information Science, Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil with a Bachelor in Librarianship. She received her Masters Degree in Information Science (2004) in the same school. Janaina is currently studying for a Doctors Degree in Information Science and her interest research is human information behavior, especially young peoples information seeking and use. Her dissertation will center around the formation of young researchers, that is information behavior of secondary school students for scientific research. Her research population consists of secondary school students awarded in the annual editions of the “Young Scientist Award”, promoted by CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), an important institution of the Brazilian government to promote scientific development.
Janaina Costa will be visiting SCILS from October 2006 to September 2007. |

| Lynn Hay, a lecturer at the School of Information Studies at Australia's Charles Sturt University, spent two months at CISSL in fall 2004 in order to begin replicating in Australia the Student Learning Through School Libraries study originally undertaken by Todd & Kuhlthau in Ohio.
