The Center for International Scholarship in School Librarianship (CISSL) is the leading international research and scholarly center that focuses examines the dynamics and impacts of school libraries on student learning. CISSL fosters the transformative role of school libraries in 21st century schools, their integral role in the learning fabric of schools, and their role in ongoing school improvement and reform.
The Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL), established in the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey builds on a 50-year tradition of excellence. Founded in the nation's top ranked School Library Program, CISSL provides the international community of scholars and practitioners an arena to develop and exchange research enhancing learning in school libraries worldwide.
